These clients wanted a lighter, more modern space with “jolly colors”. Now these opera buffs invite guests into their home with this whimsical poster by illustrator, Ronald Searle. Hallway doors painted in bright yellow lead to the bedrooms. Accessories and faux plants were tossed out and the bookcases took on a more graphic look with the same orange color in the foyer repeated on the soffit above the sliding doors to the balcony. The fireplace wall was painted charcoal grey to marry with the marble surround. Architectural prints, uniformly framed are positioned above the new yellow sofa. A large photo mural of London fills the dining area wall and the dining chairs were repainted a Spring green and reupholstered in polka dots.
